ANNA WOJTYŃSKA

Anna Maria Wojtyńska has a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Iceland and holds MA from University of Warsaw. For almost thirty years she has been studying migrations to Iceland, particularly migrations from Poland. Her main areas of interest are the inclusion of immigrant to the Icelandic labour market and migrants’ transnational practices. She has recently worked as postdoctoral researcher in project looking at migration to rural areas in Iceland. As part of the Community Co-creation project, she has explored the role of public libraries in affording for migrants’ inclusion. Currently Anna Maria takes part in the NordForsk project TRANSCARENET that examines organization of care for the elderly across the borders focusing on migrants from Nordic countries, the European Union and Ukraine.
